"Gorillas in the mist" photoshoot for the mechs

Whenever groceries get delivered with some dry ice packaging, I break out the miniatures for a photoshoot with free foggy effects. Here's the Atlas I've been working on: I call this the "gorillas in the mist" look. In retrospect, I regret choosing yellow as one of the colors for this Inner Sphere lance: it's a very difficult colour to work with. While the green-yellow colour scheme is eye-catching, the effort required to get the yellow even (and I don't even think I succeeded) is too much. Next lance will be in an easier colour scheme - Davion blue and green perhaps.

 

For my Clan Mechs, I chose dark red over dark brown, with yellow spattered-paint accents/camouflage. It works quite well, and is far easier to paint.
